Services
I provide a variety of services, including Chinese medicine (acupuncture), biodynamic craniosacral therapy, and astrology consultations.
Chinese medicine (acupuncture)
Chinese medicine is a rich tradition of medical practice that has developed from ancient times down to the present day. Its oldest text, the Huángdì Nèijīng (黃帝內經) describes a highly nuanced and sophisticated vision of health and disease. In it our bodily (and mental) ecology is seen to be in constant dance with the forces of the environment and seasonal motions, and deeply shaped by our emotions, experiences, and lifestyle.
When the individual falls out of harmonious synchrony with natural motion and the larger matrix of which it is a part, illness arises. Various techniques are then utilised to restore natural circulation and coherence to the totality of the organism. This is primarily achieved via the use of needles (acu, 鍼/針) and heat (moxibustion, 灸). Thus the Chinese name for “acupuncture”: 針灸 zhēnjiǔ, “needle-moxa”.
As a needle-moxa practitioner, I endeavour to assist in the unraveling of illness using this ancient framework and the “subtle and marvellous” tools of needle and moxa. This involves questioning, pulse diagnosis, and physical examination before the application of needles and mugwort to effect physiological change.
In this way, fluid-flow can be regulated, health can be restored to tissues, the functions and dynamics of the organs can be harmonised, and one’s overall life-circulation can be optimised.
This approach has the potential to support the recovery from various issues, from complex diseases to acute musculoskeletal pain. Conditions may include digestive issues, immune system disorders, arthritis, chronic and acute pain, headaches and migraines, insomnia, and others.
I practice acupuncture from Ondol Oriental Medicine Clinic in Toowong on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You can make online bookings here.
Cost: $160 initial; $155 one-hour follow-up; $125 45-minute follow-up.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a subtle yet profound modality that has emerged from osteopathy in the 20th century. It utilises gentle touch, practitioner-client relational dynamics, stillness, and attunement to subtle bodily rhythms to facilitate healing. Significantly, in the biodynamic form of this practice, healing emerges from within the client, rather than being imposed from without.
BCST, as the name suggests, recognises the craniosacral system, with its bones, membranes, nervous system, and fluids, as a central axis of focus. However, the practice transcends this to include the whole body, and indeed the whole being. As such, many issues can be worked with, whether they be musculoskeletal, internal, emotional, or even spiritual. While firmly grounded in anatomy, physiology, and the latest science, BCST also transcends these to include subtler levels of being.
This treatment is particularly ideal for conditions involving states of nervous system dysregulation, anxiety, stress, insomnia, pain, gut health, tension, and headaches.
I practice BCST from Vessel Clinic in Paddington, on Mondays and Thursdays.
Cost: $130 for 1.5 hours, $115 for one hour.

Astrology
Astrology sessions are helpful to uncover the archetypal dynamics operating in our lives. We thereby gain greater clarity — and perhaps, creativity — about who we are and what we are doing during our sojourn here on Earth.
I utilise a mixture of ancient and modern frameworks and techniques. My goal is not to predict or mystify, but rather contextualise one’s immediate, lived experience to help the client orient toward greater coherence and imaginative living. Ideally, the client will participate by recording and sharing their dreams and other experiences which may act as doorways to the world of symbolic energies currently active in their lives. I see this as a living, “process-oriented” approach and dynamic exchange, rather than a “reading”, where one is told what their chart means.
These encounters can be online, or if you are in the Brisbane area and so wish, in person. I recommend a series of three or four meetings over time, to enable greater depth — but sometimes one or two is all that is required.
Cost: $150 AUD first session, $120 thereafter. About 1.5 hours plus preparation time.
